About project

„Work – Respect – Appreciation. 7 steps to work-life balance” Project.

 

It makes an innovative and complete approach to work-life balance, it includes all aspects influencing the work-life balance.

 

The venture is aimed on propagation of knowledge and best experience in work-life balance achievement by the participating companies. It is addressed to the company managers and HR management persons, responsible for the work providing, its quality improvement and HR efficiency.

The Project complies with the local, regional and national strategies concerning the social dialogue in the Applicant`s country, which has been proved in section concerning the chances equality and non-discrimination.

 

The concept of the Project includes development of the Model of Ideal Work-Life Balance. It wil be a questionnaire to be completed by the companies, where each of 7 WLB steps will be scored. For example:

– WLB Leader – score for example over 1000

– WLB Striver– over 500

– Appreciation for involvement – up to 500.

 

Seminars for employers and the workshops will concern various issues and will be realized both in a traditional and innovative form, an interactive one included. The representatives of other NGO`s and experts dealing with 7 steps influencing work-life balance will be invited to the Project. See: Publicity Plan and „balanced development”.

The main Project result will be development of innovative tools and practice, compliant with the Polish and local market in the area of work-life balance achievement in order to provide the better understanding of advantages of the fair job and implementation of solutions in the companies participating in workshops (see: Project indicators and aims).

External subsidizing to the Project is a necessary condition of its realization as Pracodawcy Pomorza do not possess sufficient funds which would enable its realization. An additional difficulty to obtain the capital for this is the fact that it is much easier to show the direct social-economic advantages of the project than the financial profit.

Thanks to the Project realization the following social-economic advantages will be reached:

  1. Propagation of fair job and work-life balance, and raising of awareness of all job market members – employers, employees and social organizations.
  2. Providing place for management experience sharing, typical for each organization.
  3. Presentation of options and possibilities leading to improvement and business and HR development.
  4. Stimulating and supporting the actions helping the permanent perfection achievement by employers and employees.
  5. Access to permanently updated knowledge resources on management experience, collected through benchmarking.
  6. Information exchange development – HR development.
  7. Work quality improvement.
  8. Job satisfaction increase – employees.
  9. Better identification of employees with the company resulting in the increased involvement as well as Higher efficiency – employees.

The Project offers overstandard solutions included in the balanced development policy and other issues which has been specified in another section of this Application. The Project complies with the aim of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014. Its priority is fair job and remuneration terms which leads to minimization of ecenomic and social difference within EEA. Thanks to the Applicant`s cooperation with Norwegian subjects, the Project helps integrate the relationship between the applicant country and donating country.  We also plan expert consultations with Polish delegates to the International Labour Organisation.

Pracodawcy Pomorza assume that after the idea of WLB competition has been implemented and the pilot project within the Norwegian Financial Mechanism has been carried out, the competition will be continued also after 2014 as a cyclic action.
